Greetings and love from Japan! I read your Gentle Giant picture book and really loved it! The pictures are adorable and the message is valuable. After reading this, my thoughts went to the importance of peaceful communication. The Giant reacted to the people from his own logical perception of reality, but didn't think to stop and ask the people if his perceptions were correct according to them. The people as well didn't stop to think before they started attacking, that the Giant might have had a good reason for his actions. If both parties had communicated or at least made the attempt to do so, perhaps the violence could have been avoided entirely.

i'm 2nd year psychology student.I think the dog was salivating without a food because the dog was adapting the sound of a bell. The dog was influence of the things around it.but finally the realize that when the bell sound there's no food at all.

Filled with wisdom. I'm glad you made it into a children's picture book because it illustrates the fact that most of life's greatest truths are so simple that even a child can understand them - but presidents and kings and even geniuses are often completely ignorant of them. I am a Christian, and some of your books illustrate quite well why I don't go to church anymore, and why Jesus wouldn't either. Way to go. Keep on exposing legalism and pointing the way towards love.

I am older than dirt, Yet my vision is still good. My hands don't shake unless there is another hand in one of them! and I too am sorry about atomic bombs, even though, at the time, we felt it was the only way to stop the Japanese soldiers! Yeah we believed the president and wanted to stop the war from escalating any more than it had already! AND I am sorry,really I am!

perfect idea. you're right in that hatred is almost 'contagious,' but, however, we shouldn't justify any brutal action. i think that both groups-of children- have showed intolerance and brutality on an equal basis.
