Senthivel sent us a following message. Thank you, Senthivel.

Nice work!

Hi! My name is Senthivel and I work on transformation of people. That human beings are conditioned puppets is obvious. But, the real help is to help people from misalgined thought and behaviour to aligned thought and behaviour!

We have uncovered that secret and helped many transform themselves!

Our website is www.alignedliving.in

Speak to us for one hour and you will not be the same person again! Conditioning will become powerless and new input will take over!

Looking forward to friendly mutually beneficial relationship!

All the best!

Love and regards
A.Senthivel

I'm grateful to have discovered your site. I am a sad and depressed person with very little hope for/ faith in the world around me. It's comforting to know that there is someone out there that sees our problems the same way I do. It looks like we are outnumbered. In my prayers and dreams I can see a simple message like yours eliminating the ignorance, selfishness and hatred that surrounds us and threatens to kill us every day. Keep doing what you do.

I am curious, what is the author's opinion of Nietzsche, and what are his thoughts regarding Nietzsche's philosophical project of finding a morality that is "Beyond Good and Evil"? And is the author a 'behaviourist' with respect to the philosophy of mind? Many thanks!

(If you want to read a profile of mine, kindly look at my blog. It's www.pecierpoldo.blogspot.com. I have just started it, so there's just one entry, but it has a brief personal profile.)

Thank you Yoshi - Pavlov's dog

Yoshi sent us a message regarding our picture book Pavlov's dog.
Thank you, Yoshi!

This is Yoshi, a photo-journalist and Zen Buddhist lives in London since 1974.

1) Normally the words "Joken-hanshs" were translated as conditioned reflection. ( reflection = hansha !!! )

2) In south London, mugging (hittakuri) became a kind of daily occurrence and the mugger may not be caught and punished, so that the kids started to feel "nothing wrong to mug, if he (or she) want to get it". Here, the link of social conditioning has been broken down.

3) Fundamental base to distinguish right and wrong in Japanese pshyki is clean or pure vs dirty. Not socially conditioned norm but much deeper subconscious feeling. And this is Japanese "Shinto". (That's why people goes to Shinto shrine to be cleansed ("Kiyome" or receive "Oharai"----hence the tradition, "Mizugori" "Nagashi-Bina")

This is in fact, huge subject. (I spent past 30 years to decypher what is Zen.)

Good day,

l am a freshman in the University of Yaounde 1 reading Psychology. So in class last week our lecturer taughts us about Parlov's dog so l was so interested in the story and when l went looking for it at Google l actually saw it so l found this place where l could give or appreciate his work that is why l decided to write.
l think from his experiments, l will like to see what happens to my own dog since l have some dogs staying with us in the compound. but the difference is that we have not brought up the dogs in such a way but l shall try.l also wants to thank him for his idaes and all that he did as far as Psychology is concern.
Thanks so much and will like to be have mails form you.

Stay blessed.

i'm 2nd year psychology student.I think the dog was salivating without a food because the dog was adapting the sound of a bell. The dog was influence of the things around it.but finally the realize that when the bell sound there's no food at all.

Thank you Keiron - Pavlov's dog

Keiron sent us a message about our picture book "Pavlov's dog" as follows.
Thank you, Keiron!

----------------------------------------------------------------

You appear to have misunderstood classical conditioning. Your description of Pavlov's experiment is correct, apart from the bit where the dog expects food - there is no expectation in CC, only an association between the stimulus and the response (ie., the tone and the salivation [note the absence of food from this association]). Nevertheless, raising fists is better explained with operant conditioning (see the work of BF Skinner). Classical conditioning can only account for emotions and basic reflexes like salivation.

I admire the aims of your website. I do not like wars, hatred etc., but your message would be more effective if the science was correct.

I hope I have helped, rather than cause offence.

Yours peacefully

Keiron
